Edward Laptop Bag

More than a laptop case, Edward offers protection for your laptop, and a way to travel with less. The unique strap system makes Ed a fully functional backpack, and a daily bag. When you need extra protection for your laptop Ed is your number one go to bag – the perfect laptop slip case, but when not protecting your computer Ed becomes a fully functioning day pack. Perfect choice when you’re travelling and need to have a pack that is multipurpose. Or, for when you want a sleek and minimalist look without a full size pack.

We designed Edward initially as a simple laptop slip case. Acknowledging that carrying a piece of kit that costs hundreds, if not thousands of pounds on a daily basis should be safe and practical. This made us think about how we carry our kit about, and what we really want to have with us on a daily basis. A traditional slip case is very often just large enough for a laptop, but how often are you then trying to slide in a notebook, some A4 printouts… we are. So pencil to paper lead to Ed. A well proportioned slip case that doubles as a small backpack. Rip the straps off and you have your slip case, ideal for meetings and more. Keep the straps on, or tucked away and no matter where you go, you’ll have a decent backpack.

As you can see from the video and photos, how people use Ed has developed. And you’ll find that too. A really handy, grabbable bag perfect for work, travel and more. So much more.

Frequently asked questions.

The outside canvas has a unique water repellant treatment that makes the canvas rain proof. The natural and vegan process the canvas undertakes is ideal for all normal weather and conditions, it can also be further treated with Cora + Spink wax finishes. Over time the canvas will need to be topped up if you're outdoors lots. Please get in touch if you need more information.
We accept returns within 30 days where the product has not been used and is returned to us in the same condition (so we can sell it) as it arrived. This includes all straps, buckles, packaging, labels and other supplemental items included in the original sale. Please contact us directly to authorise and obtain a returns address. Full refund/returns policy is available here.
All C + S products are made by hand using natural materials. They are strong and robust, but do require care and attention to ensure they have a long and fulfilling life. We recommend removing mud and stains with a stiff brush, you can then use a damp cloth to gently remove any unwanted marks. Due to the nature of the material finish, you may encounter fading of the canvas - this is to be expected. Don't use harsh chemicals, and do not wash in a washing machine. Specialist cleaners can help - if you have a particularly difficult stain please contact us directly, and we will do our best to advise.
Short answer, absolutely yes. No animal products or by products are used in the production of the backpacks, this includes but is not limited to the glues and treatments, the inks, dyes and the waxes... the working environment where all the backpacks are made is exclusively used only for Core + Spink products, meaning we control all elements of production.

What others are saying.

Thank you for making this bag, I don't usually click adverts on facebook for stuff like this, but I'd recently seen Cora & Spink at the Botanical Gardens on holiday, this wasn't in the shop, but fell in love with the reddy wine colour. Perfect little bag for me.

Have wanted to buy a gift for my wife, spotted this whilst travelling and picked it up. My eldest spotted it before I'd wrapped it up and ended up having it as her school bag - so will order another when it comes back in. Really like Tim's story.

Just received first samples of our new Its Navy canvas complete with a new finish applied. Different colours and different batches of canvas during the year have quite different or varying "handles", we love this change as it reflects the true nature of a natural material. But this doesn't stop us from fiddling. Here we were experimenting with a stiffener that we can apply to give the canvas a slightly different feel, unfortunately it appears the effect has affected the waterproofing...
