Our most popular backpack just got a big brother. A scaled version of ten ball twenty ball captures the spirit of the smaller pod bag, with a slightly larger overall body.
Where do we start with the functionality of Twenty. Exterior wise, the unique front, crescent shaped opening forms part of the body shape, that offers the most functionality from a small silhouette. Outside there is a well proportioned zipped exterior pocket, cracking for wallet, glasses, notebooks and other flat things – all wrapped in custom C+S laminated rainproof waxed canvas.
Inside is deceptively large, and very well organised. To the rear is a padded laptop slip pocket, (check the dimensions of your laptop) measuring 28 x 33 cm – by rule of thumb is sufficient for a 13/14 inch laptop (possibly more), then a handy document pocket – and then… a metal zipped secure pocket. The inside is part lined with handloom recycled cotton – sourced directly from a cooperative that helps and funds development of workers in India. So buying this does help. If that’s your bag. Which is ours. It’s in our nature.
When designing Ten and Twenty Ball we were inspired by shapes that surround us, tennis balls were not around us at the time, but we were thinking of them, and how those two pieces of fuzzy green stuff marry up perfectly. Twenty is the ideal, neigh perfect daily backpack that will see you on your travels, to work, the park or pub.

Using natural materials means every C+S product will naturally biodegrade. Right now, 92% by mass will biodegrade within 10 years, the 8% padding, fixtures etc will take longer, but we're working on this.
Ethically sourced through local cooperatives, cotton is made from garment and mill industry waste fibres and offcuts.Ā
Made in a 100% vegan environment using zero animal based materials or products, including glues, finishes and waxes.
Recycling plastics is inefficient, pollutive and has been shown to increase the consumption of single use plastic. It is an example of greenwashing and something we will never endorse.

My wife and I have seen these backpacks at a tradeshow we attend each year, whilst the bags were a little pricey for our shop we fell in love with the designer and how he is running his business. Bought a wallet, bum bag and a twenty ball for when we take the kids out at the weekend. The waterproofing seems to work - which is much appreciated during this wet weather.

Bought by my girlfriend for me for the summer festival and travel season. Backpack does exactly what it should. Great size for use as a day bag and more. We ended up using it all summer. Good design is not easy, and this is a good design. Top marks.

The internal laptop section measures 28 x 33 cm - we recommend measuring your laptop to make sure it's a good fit.
The outside canvas has a unique water repellant treatment that makes the canvas rain proof. The natural and vegan process the canvas undertakes is ideal for all normal weather and conditions, it can also be further treated with Cora + Spink wax finishes. Over time the canvas will need to be topped up if you're outdoors lots. Please get in touch if you need more information.Ā

All C + S products are made by hand using natural materials. They are strong and robust, but do require care and attention to ensure they have a long and fulfilling life. We recommend removing mud and stains with a stiff brush, you can then use a damp cloth to gently remove any unwanted marks. Due to the nature of the material finish, you may encounter fading of the canvas - this is to be expected. Don't use harsh chemicals, and do not wash in a washing machine. Specialist cleaners can help - if you have a particularly difficult stain please contact us directly, and we will do our best to advise.
Short answer, absolutely yes. No animal products or by products are used in the production of the backpacks, this includes but is not limited to the glues and treatments, the inks, dyes and the waxes... the working environment where all the backpacks are made is exclusively used only for Core + Spink products, meaning we control all elements of production.Ā Ā Ā Ā
