Market Finds: Exploring the Best Local Creators, Makers and…
When wandering around the various markets of Royal Leamington Spa, it’s easy to get lost in the sea of stalls and vendors selling everything from homemade jam to handcrafted jewellery. But one artist in particular, caught our eye – Emily Kaye, a local illustrator with a talent for creating bold, bright, and eclectic artwork that’s impossible to miss. Immediately we snapped up 2 of her prints, “Eat Your Greens” and “Landmarks of Leamington”.

Tim pestered Emily for a chat…
Naturally we had to find out more, so a couple of Wednesdays ago we went for a coffee with Emily and ended up with a photoshoot and personal tour of her commissioned mural work in the recently refurbished Leamington Spa Train Station.
This is what we learned…
Emily Kaye the artist.
Emily has been a professional artist for over five years now, but her path to becoming a full-time illustrator was anything but conventional. Before pursuing her passion for art, she worked in product development for renowned companies such as Dyson, and even dabbled in health care design. However, despite her success in these fields, she felt unfulfilled and yearned for something more creative.
Determined to pursue her lifelong dream, Emily took a leap of faith and decided to enrol in a Master’s program in illustration. After completing her studies, she decided to take her passion for art to the next level and work as a full-time artist. Since then, she’s been creating vibrant and eclectic art that captures the imagination of everyone who sees it.
Nowadays, Emily spends her days creating a range of art inspired by the people she meets and the world around her. Her professional work focuses on creating murals for businesses, packaging design, as well as producing illustrations and prints. Her unique, naïve approach to shape and colour is both inspiring and exciting, and it’s clear to see why she’s become such a sought-after artist across the country.
One of Emily’s most notable works is the large mural she created at the recently remodelled Leamington Spa train station. It’s a testament to her skill as an artist and her ability to create artwork that’s both eye-catching and thought-provoking. We were lucky enough to do a photoshoot with Emily at the train station, and it was amazing to see how her artwork has transformed the space.
At Cora + Spink, we’re passionate about supporting local businesses and artists, which is why we’re thrilled to be working with Emily. Her artwork is a perfect match for our brand, and we’re excited to see how we can collaborate in the future.
Working with local artists has become a positive and fun way to do business, and it’s clear that Emily is leading the way when it comes to the art scene in Leamington Spa. Her artwork is a testament to her talent and her dedication to her craft, and we can’t wait to see what she creates next.
So if you’re in the Leamington Spa area and looking for some amazing artwork to brighten up your home or workspace, be sure to check out Emily’s work. It’s not often that you come across an artist with such a unique and inspiring style, and we’re lucky to have her as a part of our local community.

Just received first samples of our new Its Navy canvas complete with a new finish applied. Different colours and different batches of canvas during the year have quite different or varying "handles", we love this change as it reflects the true nature of a natural material. But this doesn`t stop us from fiddling. Here we were experimenting with a stiffener that we can apply to give the canvas a slightly different feel, unfortunately it appears the effect has affected the waterproofing... These at home tests are great for seeing immediately how the canvas may perform... #test #canvas #byhand #waterproof #backpack #waxed
